"War Between India and Pakistan: The Kashmiri Call for Peace"

Kashmir, situated at the heart of the Indian subcontinent,

has been ensnared in a relentless conflict between India and Pakistan for over 77 years.
This enduring dispute has transformed the valley into a perpetual battleground, where the aspirations of its people for peace and normalcy remain unfulfilled.

In this protracted struggle, the Kashmiri populace has borne the brunt of the violence. Whether bullets are fired from one side of the border or the other, it is invariably the Kashmiris who suffer the consequences. Their homes are destroyed, children orphaned, and dreams shattered amidst the bloodshed.

It is an undeniable truth that war has never been a solution to conflicts—neither in the past, nor in the present, nor will it be in the future. Bullets do not discriminate based on religion or nationality; they simply kill—and it is always humans who perish.

The desire of Kashmiris to live a peaceful life is not an unnatural demand; it is a fundamental human right. They are not seeking concessions from either India or Pakistan; they merely wish for the clouds of war to dissipate. They yearn for their children to attend school in peace, for farmers to cultivate their fields, and for families to lead joyful lives.

Regrettably, the Line of Control (LoC), perceived by India and Pakistan as a boundary, effectively divides a single nation, identity, and history into two. Kashmiris on both sides of the divide share each other's sorrows, united in their plea: "We want peace!"

If India and Pakistan are intent on demonstrating their might, they should do so within their own territories, not upon the chests of Kashmiris. If war has indeed become inevitable, then let it be decisive, so that Kashmiris may be spared the agony of dying a little each day.

The resolution of the Kashmir issue lies not in continued conflict but in sincere dialogue and the acknowledgment of the Kashmiri people's aspirations. It is imperative for all stakeholders to prioritize peace and work collaboratively towards a future where the people of Kashmir can live with dignity and hope.
